The Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA) has awarded 32 companies Feed-in Tariff (FiT) quotas amounting to a total capacity of 111.407 MW, which are expected to generate investments worth RM1.14 billion in the next few years. The newly approved companies are expected to start generating and supplying renewable energy in 2025 and 2027. The FiT mechanism was first introduced in 2011 to encourage energy generation through renewable sources.
