Do you wish to learn more about the impact of various materials? Do you find it difficult to choose packaging materials that are more environmentally friendly than others?

Using lifecycle environmental data from Ecoinvent and other scientific literature, over two dozen materials commonly used for packaging have been analysed to create the Alternative Materials Tool. The Alternative Materials Tool aims to guide users to use packaging materials with the least environmental impact. Users are able to compare, contrast and define materials according to their packaging needs. It is specific to the waste contexts of Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines and Thailand.

It will feature a live demonstration of the Alternative Materials Tool, debunk common packaging misconceptions and discuss the implications of these findings.
