Governance should encompass both “performance” and “conformance”. The corporate world and the “rat race” have caused many societal issues resulting in organisations becoming less than sustainable. Now would be a good time for organisations to reassess themselves, their business models and corporate culture to achieve a holistic and integrated view of governance and sustainability. This requires Boards and Management to focus on their people-process-technology model to ensure success in line with their strategy and culture.
