The Earth Walk will be held for the fifth time in a row on March 24 this year.Thousands of people are expected to participate in the Earth Hour Night Walk organised by the World Wide Fund for Nature Malaysia.
The event is organised with the aim of working towards tackling climate change. It will feature a 3.6-kilometre night walk at Lebuh Lintang next to the 1st Avenue Mall.
WWF-Malaysia Head of Policy and Climate Change Lavanya Rama Iyer said it is important to preserve and protect the natural ecosystems for future generations.
The event, supported by the Penang government and Penang Island City Council (MBPP), was organised with the aim of working towards tackling climate change.
