Launched on 16 May 2019, Climate Governance Malaysia is the Malaysia chapter of the World Economic Forum’s Climate Governance Initiative (CGI). The CGI is an effort to reach out to non-executive directors (NEDs) of listed companies to inform, engage with and develop responses on how businesses might address long-term risks of climate change, including a more sustainable allocation of capital.
Climate Week NYC 2020 is one of the few international climate summits to explore what lessons we can learn in pursuit of a net-zero future through just transition. Climate Week NYC is run in association with the United Nations and the City of New York. It brings together national, state and regional government leaders, businesses and the broader climate sector to accelerate climate action.
In conjunction with Climate Week NYC 2020, Climate Governance Malaysia is collaborating with the Joint Committee on Climate Change (JC3), Institute of Corporate Directors Malaysia (ICDM) and Islamic Markets to organise a virtual forum about Malaysia’s initiatives to tackle climate issues.
